Penn Yan played a close game for the first half and then took off in the second half, defeating CA 9-5. Meanwhile, Penfield took Orchard Park 14-4 and R-H edged out Greece Lightning 4-3. Batavia used even scoring in their 10-7 win over UPrep.

It truly was another classic Canandaigua-Penn Yan contest under the Mustang lights and with a large crowd on hand. After trading goals resulting in a 5-5 tie at halftime, Penn Yan took a 9-7 lead, but let the Braves back in as they scored three in the last quarter to force overtime.

Senior midfielder Eric Munn (Canandaigua) and defenseman Nick Panara (Pittsford) were named US Lacrosse Academic All Americans. Junior midfielder Kevin Hill (Thomas) along with senior attackmen Trevor Hodgins (Churchville-Chili), Justin Kesselring (Fairport-A/M) and Stephen Quinzi (Pittsford) were selected as US Lacrosse All Americans.

Hilton has faced Canandaigua 3 times in the last 10 years and came into tonight’s contest 1-1 against the Braves. With tonight’s 10-8 win the Cadets now take the lead in the series 2-1. The first time the teams faced in 2010 Canandaigua won 15-4. One year later the Cadets came back for a 13-12 victory, outscoring the Braves 5-1 in the final quarter.

Smith-Wilcox also an unassisted goal with 2:22 left in the game to send the game into overtime where Ben Smith-Wilcox scored with 26 seconds left on a pass from Connor Hulme. All five of Smith-Wilcox's goals were in the second half. Nick Johnson won 15 of 21 face offs.

NOTES: In a back and forth game, Canandaigua scored the final four goals to secure a 12-8 win over Rush-Henrietta. The game was a close one throughout with five ties and three lead changes. The Braves came out with the opening goal to take the first lead of the contest. Patrick Bay scored unassisted with the first of his 2g-1a. R-H scored the next goal with Nick Lenhard scoring off a pass from Curtis Raymond. Raymond was one of the big scorer for the Royal Comets with 1g-2a. Jake Hughes also finished with 3g for R-H.

Victor scored seven unanswered goals on their way to a 20-8 win over Webster Thomas. The game was close for the first quarter before a weather delay between the first and second quarters. Coming out of the delay, Victor scored five unanswered goals to increase their lead to 9-2. The Blue Devils had 10 players make their offensive scorebook with Drew Collins leading with 4g-2a. Mike DeMarco (4g-1a), Jamie Trimboli (3g-1a) and Ryan Maloney (2g-2a) added to the scorebook for Victor.
